National School Program Overview

Launched in 2004, The First Tee National School Program trains physical educators to introduce children to the game of golf and The First Tee Nine Core Values ™ during regular physical education classes.

With more than 2,000 participating elementary schools and support from the PGA TOUR and a growing number of tournaments and other sponsors, the National School Program has established an impressive number of golf industry partnerships that encourage students to pursue their interest in golf and adopt its values beyond the classroom.

Sponsor Schools in your Community

Becoming a sponsor of The First Tee National School Program provides participating schools with developmentally appropriate golf equipment, the National School Program curriculum based on national physical education standards, and training of PE teachers.

The mission of this program is to establish a lifelong interest in golf by engaging young people in a structured golf curriculum that promotes character development within a physical education setting.

The program not only teaches students about the game of golf, it teaches them about The First Tee Nine Core Values:  confidence, respect, judgment, responsibility, sportsmanship, courtesy, honesty, integrity, and perseverance.

There is a one-time cost of $2,800 per participating school and this investment provides the items detailed above.  We have been fortunate to have partnered with individuals, companies, Parent Teacher Associations / Organizations, and more to provide funding for both schools and school districts and we look forward to working with you to excite young people about golf, while creating opportunities that instill values integral to the game and to life.

Thank you for your consideration in joining The First Tee National School Program team!
